Celebrating Tim

In the midst of all the hoopla surrounding our boys, and especially Tristan, this spring, Tim quietly celebrated his birthday and Father's Day this year.

For Tim's birthday, we went with a theme: "In This House..." which includes the phrases, "When something is broken, we fix it," and "when something is dirty, we clean it." So first, we had the office drawer refinished, which had gotten quite nicked up. We also got drawer organizers for it and filled each organizer with love gifts that would matter most to Tim (for example, from Caden: "I'll clean my bird cage every week!"). Of course, there were other gifts and treats and loving cards too, because "when someone is loved, we tell them!"

Please note that we dove into the celebration station right after Tim had just shaved, so that's splashed water all over his shirt...not sweat!  Just to be clear that opening these gifts wasn't that much of a workout for him. ;-)

Caden also made a huge eyeglass card for Tim--appropriate since he works in the eyeglass industry!

Tim's Father's Day was made extra special by the fact that Tristan went through the temple that weekend for the first time. As my mom would say, that was a big "payday!" Tim couldn't have asked for much more than that!
Melissa was sadly gone at Girls' Camp, but bonus: Ally was in town to help out! Tristan was so well prepared that this was an absolutely amazing day!

Caden once again shows his creativity with a handmade gift for Tim (see the green Family artwork!).

The Ridings joined us for Father's Day dinner. Here's a pic of just some of the beautiful reasons that Tim and Gary are blessed to be dads!!!
